So, among others, exhibitors from North and South America, and in the last years also increasingly from Far East, present their range. With its great part of offerers and visitors from all over the world, the Techno-Classica Essen is the classic fair in Europe, which, in the matter of internationality and global fair, no other classic can hold a candle to.

‘Iets voor niets’
Colin Chapman π noemde het ground effect ‘iets (neerwaartse kracht) voor niets (weerstand)’. Grote neerwaartse kracht met lage weerstand is de heilige graal voor F1-designers. Voor de zoveelste keer had Team Lotus de lat hoger gelegd; nog wel met een 'oneerlijk voordeel', omdat rivaliserende teams deze vernieuwing niet onmiddellijk konden kopiΓ«ren. Met name Ferrari stuitte hierbij op problemen vanwege de vlakke configuratie van zijn 12-cilindermotoren, die luchtstroomoptimalisatie onder de wagen onmogelijk maakte. Motoren met 'V'-configuratie waren ideaal; onbedoeld blies het ground effect de oudgediende maar perfect geprofileerde Ford Cosworth DFV-motor nieuw leven in.Chassisnummer 3 (van 5):

1934: Ε KODA Superb The six-cylinder flagship Superb added to the Ε KODA four-cylinder models Popular, Rapid and Favorit. From 1939, the Superb was even available with a four litre V8 engine. Only two units of the Ε KODA 1100 OHC CoupΓ© racing car from 1959 were made and neither survived in their complete original condition. But the car is now back on the road, thanks to the professionals at the Ε KODA Museum and the Ε KODA prototype construction Centre.

In 2005, Morgan presented the AeroMax based on the Aero 8 Roadster at the Geneva Motor Show for the first timeAlready before the start of production, these 100 limited Morgans were sold. Just 10 of these cars from the Touring CoupΓ© were delivered to Germany. The AeroMax impresses with its stunning coachwork design such as the triangular rear window that can be opened. The 4.8-liter BMW V8 with 367 HP provided the elasticity that is traditionally unique to Morgan and very powerful.

Techno-Classica Essen 2023: Pegaso Z-102 GT Berlinetta ENASA Best of ShowThis Pegaso Z-102 GT Berlinetta Enasa was a factory prototype.This Pegaso Z-102 GT Berlinetta Enasa won the Most Beautiful Car section of the concours d’elegance held at the show. Brought along by Belgian company Classic Car Service Restorations, this was originally chassis 150-0102. It was shown at the 1951 Paris Motor Show and then presented at the Pardo Palace in Madrid to General Franco. A year later the car was converted to Berlinetta configuration and a new 2814cc engine fitted; it then won several concours d’elegance.

This Pegaso Z-102 GT Berlinetta Enasa was a factory prototype.
This Pegaso Z-102 GT Berlinetta Enasa won the Most Beautiful Car section
of the concours d’elegance held at the show.
