Het was bijzonder om wat historie deze fraaie Barchetta op te sporen.
Maar ook weer niet makkelijk omdat deze Ferrari weinig in beeld is gekomen,
geraced, behouden en gekoesterd werd voor langere tijd
door een handje vol Eigenaren en dus langere tijd uit beeld !

Ferrari 340 America #0120/A was delivered new in june 1951
to Eddie Hall who raced the car at Le Mans 1951.

Did Not Finish in 14th hour due to dynamo failure.
In september 1951 Eddie Hall participated in the Dundrod RAC TT
but again a Did Not Finish because of an accident.
The car currently undergoes
a ground-up restoration.

The Barchetta behind is a 166MM
There are Color Pictures made at Le Mans 1951.
But this, first 340 A car on photo, isn't THE CAR we know.
The Owner wants to paint the car in the original color but unfortunately
only black and white pictures seem to exist of the car in both events.
There is doubt between red and
Driver Bouchard (also blue#64).
